The insured is called to the Social Security Medical Board (CMSS) to receive an orthopedic prosthesis. At the request of the insured person, a reimbursement for travel expenses may be paid.
Terms and conditions of coverage
If an insured person is summoned to the Social Security Medical Board (CMSS) for the receipt of an orthopedic prosthesis, he may request a reimbursement for travel expenses from the CMSS.
The reimbursment of travel expenses is a fixed rate of reimbursement for travel expenses, regardless of the means of transport used by the insured person.
Coverage rate
The reimbursement of travel expenses is paid at the rate of €0.21 per kilometer of the shortest route between the place where the insured person is staying at the time of departure and the place where he or she receives treatment.
Procedures
To request the reimbursement for travel expenses, the insured must send the following documents:
- the completed "Travel expense claim" form ;
- a copy of the letter of invitation to the CMSS for the receipt of an orthopedic prosthesis ;
- a certificate of attendance established by the CMSS.
